Bmag christened the new media partnership in style by recently hosting the 2011 Bmag Brisbane Person of the Year Awards at Rugby Quay's premier riverfront venue, The Strand at RUGBYQUAY.
Open Minds held their Melbourne Cup Charity Luncheon on Tuesday 1 November, hosted at The Strand Event Centre at RUGBYQUAY. All proceeds support the Brisbane-based charity Open Minds, whose vital services provide life-changing opportunities for people living with mental illness or disability. Everyone that attended had a great day and enjoyed the food, the fashion and the festivities of the big race.

In what is considered arguably the most iconic sportsperson luncheon in the country, The Penfolds Luncheon Series celebrated it's 200th consecutive event in style at The Strand at RUGBYQUAY in October. First established by the Queensland Rugby Club in May 1984, the now infamous luncheon has welcomed the who's who of Australian and International sport in its long history, and failed not to disappoint when achieving the 200th milestone.
With less than three months until Rugby World Cup 2011 kicks off in New Zealand, the Webb Ellis Cup has made a special appearance in Brisbane courtesy of Worldwide Partner, Emirates Airline. The iconic Trophy was accompanied by former Australian Rugby Union players Dan Crowley, Rod McCall and Tim Horan at an intimate cocktail function hosted by the Emirates-sponsored Queensland Rugby Club on Thursday, 16 June 2011.
The Queensland Rugby Club celebrated the opening of its new $13million RUGBYQUAY venue on September the 1st 2010. A red carpet entrance, the QRC's signature cocktail and a full jazz band were all part of the star treatment enjoyed by members and their guests. Last month the Queensland Rugby Club was proud to host the Channel 9 TODAY Show weather crosses at RUGBYQUAY. The morning was a-buzz with action, from belly dancers and opera singers, to the QRU's junior rugby union teams, as well as Triple M activities, and our very own Executive Chef Daniel Clark cooking live on air. It was a fantastic morning at 123 Eagle Street! Thank you to our partners Channel 9, Triple M and to the QRU for supporting our official opening to the people of Brisbane.
