Join us this October as we welcome legendary Collingwood Coach, Mick Malthouse, one of the most successful AFL coaches of all time to the Penfolds Luncheon series, just weeks after the 2010 AFL Premiership Final.

Mick began his football career as a player, amassing 174 games for St Kilda and Richmond 1972-83, which included a premiership with the Tigers in 1980. Retiring as a player in 1983, Mick was appointed as the senior coach of Footscray and went on to transform the battling Bulldogs into finals contenders.

From 1990 to 1998 Mick was the senior coach for the West Coast Eagles, and again through his movtivational skills and coaching techniques made the new club one of the most feared and revered within the Australian Football League. Under Mick, the Eagles made the finals every year - a truely remarkable achievement.

With his appointment in 2000 to one of AFL's legendary club's, Collingwood, Mick was confronted with his greatest challenge yet - lifting the club out of one of their worst ever long- term slumps. Since Mick has been at the reigns, Collingwood has regained their status as one of the true powerbrokers in AFL.

With 'the Pies' at the top of the table coming into the business end of 2010, this is Mick's final opportunity, before he surrenders his senior coaching position to Nathan Buckley at the end of the season, to cap off a stellar coaching career with the greatest prize of all.
